Studies of the Anti-Diabetic Mechanism of Pueraria lobata Based on Metabolomics and Network Pharmacology

Diabetes mellitus (DM), as a chronic disease caused by insulin deficiency or using obstacles, is gradually becoming principal worldwide health problem. Pueraria lobata one of the traditional Chinese medicinal and edible plants, playing roles in improving cardiovascular system, lowering blood sugar, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, so on. Studies on hypoglycemic effects were also frequently reported. To determine active ingredients related targets for DM, 256 metabolites identified LC/MS non targeted metabonomics, 19 interacting with 51 DM-related screened. The results showed that puerarin, quercetin, genistein, daidzein, other could participate AGE-RAGE signaling pathway, resistance, HIF-1 FoxO MAPK pathway acting VEGFA, INS, INSR, IL-6, TNF AKT1, may regulate type 2 diabetes, inflammation, atherosis diabetes complications, such diabetic retinopathy, nephropathy, cardiomyopathy.
